Big B!

Bear!

Oh bear. Today was such a less than mediocre day. I worked and read a book. A pudgy little girl asked me who Adam and Eve are. I just kind of stared at her and listened to her and her friend argue about it for a while. I walked around a Target, but then I felt too lonely and the kids screaming and crying and parents yelling at kids everywhere just irritated me so much that I just left. I walked around a mall all alone. for some reason there were lots of high school kids dressed up for homecoming dances walking around the mall in pairs. I really wanted to hold your hand :) I found something that I thought I might wear to a wedding but when I got it home and tried it out again, I looked like a chunky ballerina. The good news is that I found what I want to wear to a wedding and to a dinner party. I think... I hope...

Then I spent like 3 hours making soup. Oh how tired I am now. It is such a good soup though! Too bad that you probably wouldn't like it at all. It is the dumpling soup that I shared the recipe with you but I added things that I like. I made the dough for the dumplings and then I had to wait an hour or so for it to get done. I put in potatoes and carrots and mushrooms and garlic and onions and spent like half an hour putting in the dumplings. I made a lot of dough because I really like dumplings. It looked like too many so I stopped and put the rest of the dough in the fridge. Turns out that it could have used more dumplings.... Oh well. I am going to bring the soup that I made to share with M&D tomorrow night after work.

Then on Monday I have my very first class! I am pretty excited but I am afraid that I will fall behind really fast. That is why I have been trying to study and make lots of flash cards so I don't fall behind. I really hope that you work hard and get all of your homework done on Sunday (today actually!) so you don't have to get stressed about it since you spent tonight having lots of fun. I hope you have a lot of fun because I probably won't get to talk to you :) You probably won't even read this for the next couple days or something because you will forget and/or won't have time. I like to write to you though, on a website or in a book, because I sure miss you and wish that I could talk to you all the time.

I really miss you big guy! I can NOT even wait to see you for a wedding! It is going to be super fun. Again, I hope you are having a good time and MAYBE I will get to talk to you before you fall asleep... or I fall asleep because I am so tired.

I really love you a ton and a bunch.

Goodnight my Bear.

Stick Bug!

Today I was washing the windows outside and there was a real big stick bug on one. It looked just like a stick :) I didn't want to kill it because it was cool.

Good story I know.

Last Day of school project for fun

Ways to Save Money

Bear- We need to save our money better so we don't have to worry so much about not having enough. To pay rent, to buy the things we need, to fix our cars, etc. etc. etc. I am trying to find some things that might save us money.

1. Cook at home- LOVE this one! :) I am starting to really enjoy making foods and finding new recipes. PLUS I really love making food with you. It is way more fun to say "We made this!" than to say "I spent $13.95 to eat lunch today"

2. Bring lunch to work- If I could be with you all the time, I would always make you a lunch so you would actually eat food instead of getting some candy out of the machine for dinner. Makes me so sad.

3 Buy generic- Yesssss! It is usually just as good. I am trying to do this more :) I also really like grocery shopping with you :) I wish we could live together.

4. Sell back your books- Which you are going to let me do for you!! RIGHT!

5. Find things to do for fun that don't cost much or any money- I love doing these sorts of things with you. I love simple things that we don't have to worry about how much it costs. Like doing dollar store sudokus or taking walks!

6. This is one that I just want us to do. Make our Christmas presents for each other :) that or no presents at all! Oh please oh please can we do that :) It would be a lot of fun and we would save a lot of money because I could find so many things that I would buy for you. Those are the rules this year! We have to make the presents or no presents at all! And you already promised that you wouldn't buy me a present. Please oh please!

I wanna do this someday

Can we make this soup? :)

Dumpling Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup water, or as needed
  • 6 medium potatoes - peeled and cubed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 8 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 4 ounces sliced bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Crack the egg into a measuring cup, and add enough water to equal 1 cup. Whisk with a fork. Gradually stir the egg-water and oil into the flour mixture with the fork until a soft dough is formed. Use your hands to mix the dough until is smooth and no longer sticky, adding more flour or water as needed. Cover the bowl, and set aside until the potatoes are ready.
  2. Place potatoes in a large pot with the salt and water, and bring to a boil. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
  3. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and onion; cook and stir until onions are golden and bacon is cooked. Set aside.
  4. When the potatoes are cooked, pinch off small pieces of the dough, and drop them into the boiling potato water. Turning the dough in your hand will help keep it from sticking to your fingers. Once all of the dumplings have been added, you can stir in the bacon and onions. Ladle some of the water from the soup into the skillet, and swish it around to clean out all of the tasty bits and juices. Pour back into the soup. Turn off the soup, and let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Things we should do

Go camping JUST me and you: It would be so nice just to be together outside and have no T.V.s or computers or anyone else around and we could just talk and cuddle and enjoy being together.

Dance: I can't tell you why over the internet I just really want to dance with you.

Go to more zoos to walk around slowly and look at all the animals and watch them as they live to see what they do.

Make or build something: I don't know what yet. I just think that it would be fun.

Read stories: I dunno.... like out of a book or something. Reading out loud. Laughing and stuff. :) Just sounds nice.

Go to the mall and each pick out a cute outfit and a silly outfit for each other and try it on and take a picture.

Watch cartoons.

Write silly post it notes and leave them around in public places: Like around your campus or in the mall and random public bathrooms.

Make dinner for your parents: or someone

Learn something new together: I don't know what. But we can find something.

Walk someone's dog together.

Walk somewhere and pick up all the trash.

Sit on the roof of a house.

Paint a picture of each other: and really try

Mail letters to random people in the phone book.

Car Wash.

Make a big list of fun things to do spending time together.

Try this sometime

Twice Baked Potatos

Ingredients:

  • 7 large baking potatoes
  • half-and-half
  • butter
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika

Preparation:

Scrub potatoes; prick in a few places with a fork. Bake at 450° for about 45 minutes, or until tender. Cut a slice from the top of each potato; scoop out pulp. Reserve 6 of the potato shells; set aside. Mash potato pulp, beating in enough half and half to make fluffy. Season with butter and salt and pepper to taste. Stuff reserved potato shells with mixture, rounding the tops. Brush with melted butter; sprinkle with paprika. Bake potatoes for about 15 minutes, or until nicely browned. Recipe for twice baked potatoes serves 6.

Tree Houses!

How COOL are these tree houses! I wish that I knew how to make something cool like that! Wouldn't it be so fun to have a really cool tree house that we could climb up in and camp out!

How many of these things are true?

I like to read these articles because I think it is funny how many things that girls think are super sexy that boys think are stupid. I want to know what you think :)

The Trends We Love That Men Secretly (And Not So Secretly) Hate

Hates: Leggings as pants
Loves: Stockings

Hates: Uggs

Perma-smile

This is one of the reasons that I love walking through the mall with you. This puppy makes me smile every time :)

Hope you smiled :)

Forget Me Nots

Look! I planted my Forget Me Not seeds a couple weeks ago and this is how far they are! I can't wait until they grow into flowers. I will take another picture to show you. I had too many seeds for one little pot so I got 2 pots. I think I will give one to my mom when they grow into flowers. She likes those kind of flowers too. I would grow you a flower but I don't think you would care for it much... or like it. I just like to watch it grow from a seed into a whole flower. I got really excited to see my tiny little green plants come up out of the dirt!

Zoo!

The Red River Zoo has been making me smile since the day that we went. I really loved walking along the paths and holding hands while watching animals run and play. I really liked feeding the ducks and petting the goats. I have been telling EVERYONE I know about Domino the cow. I really want to go to more Zoos. In the Spring I will check out Zoo passes at the Library and we will go to Zoos and museums. I had so much fun. That was such a nice day. The Zoo and then a really nice dinner at Olive Garden. Two Bears... Out on a date.
